Our Flavours

To enable us to produce the best quality cakes, we spend a lot of time testing new recipes, experimenting with flavour combinations and sourcing the very best ingredients. We are proud to use locally produced free range eggs and ‘Fairtrade’ ethically sourced chocolate.

Rich Chocolate Torte

A chocoholic’s dream cake, indulgent and rich with an intense chocolate flavour and melt in the mouth texture. This cake is closer to a brownie than a sponge and baked with lashings of Montezuma’s dark chocolate.

Fillings – light white chocolate buttercream, white chocolate and Baileys buttercream, dark chocolate orange buttercream or chocolate and espresso buttercream. All made with real buttercream and velvety chocolate ganache.

Moist Carrot Cake

Possibly the best carrot cake you will ever taste. A really succulent cake packed with walnuts, sultanas and of course ,fresh carrot. Flavoured with freshly ground nutmeg and citrus zest .

Fillings – orange scented buttercream, tart lemon or lemon and cream cheese buttercream.

Amaretto and Blueberry Cake

Extremely popular and very pretty when sliced, this cake is a Tartufi original. A moist and light cake baked with ground almonds and fresh blueberries.

Filling – light buttercream with the distinctive and elegant taste of amaretto.

Lemon Drizzle Sponge Cake

A very light and zesty lemon sponge with a luscious fresh lemon and limoncello syrup.

Filling – light buttercream, flavoured with tart lemon curd.

Orange and Lemon Cake

A popular new addition to our menu. A very light sponge made with fresh orange zest and spiked with a Cointreau and freshly squeezed orange syrup.

Filling – light lemon curd buttercream, which beautifully balances the flavour of this cake.

Spiced Toffee Apple Cake

One of our sweeter cakes, it reminds us of eating the best homemade apple crumble. A lightly spiced sponge made with delicious muscovado sugar, fresh bramley apples and a hint of maple syrup.

Filling – vanilla bean buttercream with (optional) toffee sauce.

Madagascan Vanilla Sponge

The humble victoria sponge is so delicious when made well. Light, fluffy and moist with a mellow vanilla and butter flavour.

Fillings – Quality high fruit content jam made from raspberries, blackcurrants or strawberries. Light Madagascan vanilla bean buttercream.

Raspberry and White Chocolate Cake

This deliciously flavoured cake is really popular and also makes a super dessert. Light vanilla sponge infused with crème de frambois syrup.

Filling – light white chocolate ganache butter cream and fresh raspberries.

Exotic Coconut Cake

An exciting flavour that is perfect for a summer celebration. A deliciously smooth coconut cake with a really tangy fresh lime or sweet mango buttercream.

Rich fruit cake

Very fruity, very moist and very popular amongst fruitcake fans, this is our favourite fruit cake recipe. The cake is crammed with vine fruits and cherries that have been steeped in brandy. As with wedding cake tradition, the brandy flavour is more subtle than in a Christmas cake. We can however make it with more brandy, or alcohol free, the choice is yours. All our iced fruit cakes include a layer of marzipan.
